Harbour Island/ Pink Sands: Day One

So this is day one Harbour Island, Eleuthera. It is such a gorgeous place.  Drink it in for a second................. Ok back to reality. Pink Sands beach is amazing, one of the best in the world. What makes it so unique? Well it has pink sand, hence the name and endless clear blue water that you can walk out a good amount before it becomes too deep. What makes the sand pink? The tons of coral and conch shells knocking against reefs and breaking up into little particles, pretty neat huh? Every time I visit it's equally breath taking. My friends and I decided to take a 2 day trip over to the little island as Amanda was planning and decorating a wedding at the Pink Sands Resort and the rest of us jumped at the chance for pink sand, some solid Bahamian food and a tan. The sun in Harbour Island is honestly hotter than Nassau. I don't know how or what it is but it feels 100x stronger, which was exactly what I was looking for. Also tried mango rum for the first time and it is delicious! You can drink it straight as it's so tasty but we mixed it with mango juice and let me tell you it was solid, definitely add that to your list if you like sweet drinks. Anyway these are a few pictures which ended up being a good amount scenery, which I went a little to camera happy with. Enjoy and get your ass to Harbour Island! Look out for day two.
Sip Sip Restaurant
Highly over priced in my eyes and the service isn't good either.
The good things: the conch chili but mostly the lime green building and cobalt blue shutters.
Um. Hi!
Best Conch Fritters right off the dock.
